Obituary for Alfreda Young
Alfreda Cobb Young better known as “Freda” was born and raised in Greenville, Florida. she was born to the late Minister David Cobb, Jr. and Willie Mae Cobb. She attended Greenville Training School and Lincoln High School.She married the love of her life on October 23, 1954, Fletcher D. Young, Sr. At the early age of 9, she received her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She was employed by Sunland Training Center in Gainesville, Florida for many years.Later her family moved to Detroit, Michigan where she retired from General Motors Corporation.She was a faithful servant at Memorial Tabernacle First Born Church of the Living God and later become First Lady at Greater First Born Church of the Living God.Shortly after her retirement, she moved back to Gainesville, Florida where she joined Pilgrim Rest Church of God In Unity and was faithful in all her duties.On Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 2:05pm, she fell asleep in the Lord and he gently carried her home. She was a wonderful, loving and kind. She loved the Lord and her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, motherin-law, grandmother, great grandmother, godmother, first lady and friend. She enjoyed gospel concerts and spending time with her
family.
