Obituary for Bennie Davis
Hawthorne - Deacon Bennie Davis peacefully departed this earthly life August 26, 2015. A retired Sgt. who served in the US Army during WWII, he was a member and Deacon of Church of God By Faith, Hawthorne, FL. Survived by his wife, Jessie Hutchinson-Davis; 6 children, Marlene Elmo, Rufus Hutchinson III, Titus Hutchinson Sr., Glenda Tucker, Dewayne Hutchinson and Tyrone Hutchinson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Home Going Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Hawthorne High School Auditorium, Elder Rufus J. Hutchinson, III officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., September 8, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, with Full Military Honors. Viewing on Friday at PINKNEY-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 21400 SE HAWTHORNE RD, HAWTHORNE, FL, 4-6:30 p.m.. Wake Service at Hawthorne Church Of God By Faith, 7-9 p.m.. Viewing Saturday 30 minutes prior to service. The cortege will form 10:15 a.m. at Mrs. Jessie Hutchinson-Davis home on Saturday.��
