Calvin Smith was born May 4, 1953 to the late Lewis Smith and Celia Banks Smith in Gainesville, FL. He received his education in the Alachua County School System and graduated in 1971 from Gainesville High School. Calvin was employed at Ford in Gainesville and then retired from Tacachale, Gainesville, FL. He enjoyed fishing during his spare time. On November 6, 2022, God called Calvin Smith home.
He leaves to celebrate his passing: his daughters, Elizabeth (Celia) Smith, Valdosta, GA, Tanesha McLean, Gainesville, FL, son, Darryl McLean, Gainesville, FL; brother, Ernest Smith (Judy), Gainesville, FL; sister, Ella Smith (Darrell), Gainesville, FL; nephews, Joel Smith, Ernest Smith Jr., Brandon Smith, Keith Smith, Alford Smith; nieces, Tequilla Sheppard, Miyoshia Ross; a dear friend, Osie Johnson; special friends, Johniah Berry, Seteria Mitchell, Michell Williams, Shakeisha Williams; and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends
