Obituary for Daisy Bell Gaither
Life is only but a journey here on earth, which begins the day we are born. Life for Daisy Gaither began in Keystone Heights, Florida on July 6th, 1939 to parents Frankie Mae Smith and Dave Henderson. She was educated at the Putnam County School System, graduating from Central Academy High School, Palatka, Florida, Class of 1957.

After graduating from high school, Daisy married the late Fred Gaither Sr. and moved to Gainesville, Florida. To this union three children were born, Fred Jr, Charles, and Anna Maria. She worked in her chosen profession as a certified nursing assistant until she retired.

Daisy accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member, serving as the mother of the church, deaconess, and a member of the Home Mission Ministries.

Daisy moved to Orlando, Florida shortly after the passing of her twin sister Lourie where she spent the past year living closer to her children. Daisy departed this life on December 17, 2019. She was preceded in Glory by her parents Frankie Mae Smith and Dave Henderson, her husband Fred Gaither, and sisters Christine Anderson and Lourie Gaither.

She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Fred Gaither Jr (Kim) of Pooler, GA, Charles Gaither (Sharita) of Apopka, FL, daughter, Anna Maria Tivis (Mel) of Orlando, FL, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
