Obituary for David Lee Gordon, Sr.
David Lee Gordon, Sr. was born September 16, 1953 in Orange Lake, FL to Thomas Gordon and Eva Simmons. He was educated in the Marion County Schools. He accepted Christ at an early age and reaffirmed his faith later in his life.
On August 7, 1987 he married Marilyn Gordon. From this union came Lacey and David Jr. David was a truck driver working for Pritchet Trucking until retiring in 2012. He then fell in love with mowing and lawn work; but his greatest love was his grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Gordon and Eva Simmons; daughters, Lacey and Savannah Gordon; brothers, Wardell, Levi, Thomas and Joseph Gordon.
He leaves to finish the work he started: his wife, Marilyn Gordon; sons, David Gordon, Michael (Bianca) Gordon, Ronnie (Jane) Gillins, Tavares, Jamarol, Shaka (Darcia) Scott; daughters, Felecia (Arthur) Andrews, Sherrtoniz (Reshard) Gordon, Kayla (Wilbert) Mitchell; 18 grandchildren; sisters, Ella Gordon, Juanita Williams, Annie Sweet, Surwena (Tommy) Mayes, Katrina (Alphonso) Lamar, and Luctricia Dove; a brother, George (Charlene) Simmons; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Mary) Gordon, Fred (Lillie) Gordon, Wayne Gordon; God Daughters, Stephanie Edwards, Margo Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
