In Loving Memory of Doretha Sylvester
After a long battle with breast cancer Doretha 61 years old gained her wings on Sunday April 9th, 2023. Through it all she put up a long, courageous fight against breast cancer. Doretha affectionately also known as Dobbie was born on Jan 10, 1962, to the late Lillie Mae Sylvester and Jessie Campbell of Johnson, Fl. Doretha attended school in the Putnam County School district. She was a member of the Trinity United Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Clarence Woods. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She was a very loving and friendly person. Doretha loved going to church and visiting the sick.
Doretha was preceded in death by her siblings Arlene, Robert, Claudia Mae, Cornell.
Serving her departure with cherished memories are her sons Lenny and Dory McMeekin and her two daughters Aricca McMeekin and Shanetta Curry along with 17 precious grandchildren who was very dear to her heart. She leaves to mourn her siblings Morrell Sylvester, Annie Mae (Willie Battles), Jimmy Lee Sylvester, Willie Lee Sylvester, Zola Mae Smith, Sarah Lee Futch, Willie Mae Sims, Annie Mae Truesdale, Beulah Mae Williams, Henny James Campbell and Dennis Campbell and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
