Earnest Williams, 75 of Gainesville, FL peacefully transitioned on February 26, 2021 at home surrounded by family. He's a retired concrete finisher. He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted wife of 35 years, Maryann Williams; daughters, Nancy Williams (Tyson), Letitia Johnson, April McNair Jefferson (Leartis), all of Gainesville, FL; sons, Earnest Williams Jr., Alexander Lewis (Cassie), both of Gainesville; a sister, Darlene McGill of Gainesville, FL; brothers, Robert Earl Williams (Willie Mae), Ricky Williams (Monica), Chester Williams (Deborah), all of Gainesville, FL and Frank Williams (Judy) of Stroudsburg, PA; Aunts, Dorothy Franklin and Bernice Williams, both of Gainesville, FL and Pauline Collins of St. Paul, MN; Brother-in-laws, Leon Hankins of Gainesville, FL and Larry Walls (Kathy) of Ocala, FL; Sister-in-law, Dorothy Johnson of Gainesville, FL; Granddaughters, Jessica Hopkins, Azie Jamison, Shantasia Jamison, Denisha Williams, Dominique Lewis, Devan Brazil, Briante Lewis, all of Gainesville, FL; Grandsons, Charles Simmons, Ricko Williams, both of Jacksonville, FL, Detron Williams, Gottrail Williams, Johnathan Rutledge, Kyaris Scott, Alexander Lewis III, Tavara Williams, Earnest Williams III, Leartis Jefferson Jr, Trevon Williams, all of Gainesville, FL; 32 great grands, 5 great great grands; Best Friends, David Walker, Eddie Darby, Henry Latimore, Ronnie Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Faith Church, 2905 SE 21st Ave. Gainesville, FL, Rev. Kevin Thorpe is Host Pastor, Pastor Calvin McGill is Eulogist. Burial will be private at a later date. Viewing on Friday at Pinkney-Smith Funeral Home 727 NW 2nd Street, Gainesville, FL, 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday at Faith Church 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. No viewing after eulogy.
