Obituary for Eddie James Gordon
Mr. Eddie James Gordon, age 82, passed away July 30, 2022 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. Mr. Gordon was a member of the West Oaks Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and a retired Superintendent of Building Services at the University of Florida.
Mr. Gordon is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Gordon; his parents, Edward Gordon Jr. and Alice Mae Gordon; and his siblings Lee Gordon, Collie Gordon, Charles Gordon, Alford Gordon and Alfae Gordon Nobles.
He leaves to cherish with fond memories: his daughter, Carolyn (Ulysses) Clark; Son: Walter (Ella) Littles Jr.; Grandchildren whom he raised as his own: Katandra (Shawn) Witter, Setonius (Chanda) Littles, both of Gainesville, FL, Darone (Angela) Littles, Fayetteville, GA, ; Siblings: Lorraine (Bob) Gibson, Wallace Gordon, Irvin Gordon, Jeremiah Gordon, Timothy Gordon, Lawrence (Yvonne) Gordon, Darryel Gordon and Ruvan Gordon; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Mr. Gordon will repose in the Pinkney-Smith Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Saturday at the Kingdom Hall from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3780 NW 16th Boulevard, Gainesville, Florida; Brother Daniel Worth, officiating; burial will follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central.
As a precaution, due to COVID, we ask that all in attendance wear a facial covering.
