Obituary for Edgar Moring Jr.
Edgar Moring, Jr. was born July 18,1934 in Council, Georgia
His parents Edgar Moring, Sr. And Sarah Elizabeth Griffin Moring preceded him in death.
Mr. Moring enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 15. As the story goes, after he enlisted, he called home, his mom asked, “where are you?” He replied, “I’m fine, I joined the military.” She replied, “You’re too young to go in the military, you better get your butt back to this house.” She then made some calls they realized that she was right, so they sent him back home. Because he was so determined to join the military, once he became of age, he enlisted but this time in the army. He served three years from 1953 to 1956 which included serving during the Korean War.
Mr. Moring is survived by his children, Four daughters, Belinda Nelson (Sammy), Bonnie Bing (Terry) both of High Springs, Florida. Cynthia Seales-Moring and Debbie Moring, both of Jacksonville, Florida. Laverne Moring, Macclenny, Florida. 1 daughter Francis Jackson preceded him in death.
