Elder Willie L. Pinkney, Sr., 72, was born to the late George & Lizzie Pinkney. Reared in the Fairbanks area, he attended Lincoln High School and retired from the University of Florida as a master plumber. He was the Chaplain on Staff at Pinkney-Smith Funeral Homes, Inc. He peacefully departed this earthly life on April 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Larry Turner and Dorothy Dexter. Precious memories remains in the hearts of 7 children, Wanda (Bernard) Ellerbe, Darlene Foreman, Sandra (Timothy) Thomas, Earlene (Gary) Calhoun, Sylvia White, Willie L. Pinkney, Jr. and Marcus L. Pinkney, all of Gainesville, FL; 2 brothers, George L. Pinkney, Jr., Hawthorne, FL and John L. (Jeanette) Pinkney, Gainesville, FL; 30 grands, 26 great-grands, and a host of other relatives and friends.
