Obituary for Elizabeth Janet Williams DeBose
Mrs. Elizabeth Janet Williams DeBose was born in Asheboro, North Carolina on September 14, 1947 to the late Jessie Clarence Williams and Sarah Jane Williams.
She graduated from Central High, Asheboro, NC in 1965. While at Central High she excelled at basketball, holding many records for scoring as well as being crowned Homecoming queen.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Herman A. Williams (Chub), Michael Williams, and Nathaniel Brooks
She met Donald R. DeBose while he was serving in the Airforce stationed at Polk Airforce Base, though a mutual friend Colon Lowdermilk.
They married September 23, 1967, and moved to Johnson, Florida to begin their married life, in which they have been a residents of the Johnson community for the over 50 years.
She was employed by AGH (Alachua General Hospital), Gainesville, FL and Putnam Community Hospital where she was recipient of the 1999 Humanitarian Award until retirement.
On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, she peacefully claimed her eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory:
