Eula Mae Daniels Harris, 100
Eula Mae Daniels Harris died peacefully at Park Meadows Nursing Home September 9, 2017. Born in Perry, FL to Robert Daniels and Mary McMillian Daniels, she attended the public schools of Taylor County. She later moved to Gainesville and attended Lincoln High School. She was united in marriage to Mathis Harris, Sr. and later went to work at the University of Florida, Reitz Union where she retired as a Custodial Supervisor after 36 years of service. Mrs. Harris was converted at an early age and joined Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully on the Usher Ministry until her health failed.
She is survived by one daughter, Olivia Jenkins (Cleon), Gainesville, FL; 2 sons, Mathis Harris Jr., Gainesville, FL and Willie Ricks (Shirley), Long Island, NY; a stepdaughter, Pastor Mable Harris Wims (Willie Sr.); 5 stepsons, 15 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Gainesville, FL, Rev. Destin L. Williams, Pastor & Officiator. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gainesville, FL. Viewing will be 30 minutes prior to service. No viewing after eulogy. Family will meet at the church 30 minutes prior to service.
