Gilbert Randall was born on June 19, 1952, in Queens, NY, to the late Dequilla Randall and Louise French. From an early age, Gilbert was known for his strong spirit, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.
Following high school, Gilbert proudly answered the call to serve his country by joining the US Army, from 1972 to 1974 later continuing his service in the Army Reserve until 1978. His years of service reflected the discipline, commitment, and strength of character that defined his life.
Gilbert went on to build a long and respected career in transportation and trucking. He began his career as a truck driver with Davis Express and later continued with Performance Food Group (PFG), where he eventually retired as a Transportation Manager. Gilbert was admired for his strong work ethic, leadership, and the meaningful relationships he built throughout the years.
Gilbert found joy in life’s simple pleasures through golfing, fishing, attending car races, serving within his community, and most of all, supporting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Whether outdoors enjoying nature or surrounded by family creating lasting memories, Gilbert brought warmth, laughter, wisdom, and love wherever he went.
