Obituary for Jailon Markese Couch Stokes
Jailon Markese Couch Stokes was born on March 18, 1993 to Mr. James Kent Stokes of Grand Rapids, MI and Demetrise Thomas of Lake Butler, FL. He was born in the city of Gainesville, FL.
At a very young age Jailon became a member of the Body Of Christ Assembly ( C.O.G.I.C. ). When the family relocated to Atlanta, GA he became a member of “ The Love Center “ Church in which Pastor B. L. Broussard was his Shephard for ten years. Upon his returning to Florida, Jailon received his High School Education from Union County School System. He then began his musical career as an entertainer and performer. His entertainment career led him to several different business ventures; including a Personal Clothing Line “ GHNL “ : Grind Hard No Lesser, as well as Amateur Modeling. The industry carried him to various places throughout the states of Florida and Georgia until his death on November 22, 2019.
Jailon leaves to cherish his memory, his father, James Kent Stokes (Nikki) of Grand Rapids, MI; his mother, Demetrise Thomas of Lake Butler, FL; a sister, Sharmaine M. Couch of South Carolina; grandmothers, “Nana” Doris Thomas of Lake Butler, FL and Ms. Stokes of Grand Rapids, MI; great grandmother, Gladys Sirmones, Lake Butler, FL; grandparents, Big Dad & Big Ma, Jerry and Kathleen Couch of Grand Rapids, MI; a special friend, Shantana Berry of Starke, FL who is with a child, “Baby Jay”; and a host of siblings who loved him dearly; two special aunts, Hope Snead of Alachua, FL and Shanda Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; an uncle, Lynn Thomas (Latoya) of North Carolina; God Parents, Mr. & Mrs. Fred Sirmones of Lake Butler, FL; God Siblings, Grace Jefferson of Atlanta, GA and Xavier Prophet of California. He also leaves behind a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and numerous friends.
