Church Affiliation: Served as teacher and superintendent of the primary Sunday School Department and she also was the president of the Women’s Choral Choir at Williams Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Dr. Detroit R. Williams. In 2011, she joined Promise Driven Ministries, under the leadership of the late Elder Edwin D. O’Neal, Sr. Mother Adams became actively involved with the youth in Children’s Ministries.
Departed: Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL
She leaves to mourn her memory- Her devoted children: V. Lynn and (John P. R. Washington, II), Ronette and (the Late Edwin D. O’Neal, Sr.), and Robert Adams, III. Father-in-Law: Johnny Lee Carter, Her siblings: Pastor Marcia Mobley, Thomas and Terry McCray, Jr. and the late Robert H. and Royce C. James, Sr.
Her loving grandchildren: Monica O’Neal-Jordan (Omar Sr.), Edwin D. O’Neal, Jr. (Kristin), Jasmine O’Neal-Gordan (Brandon), John P. R. Washington, III (Alexandra), Brittani J. Adams, Miranda E. Levy (Lamar), Atiyah A. Adams, Renea Adams, Ryan A. Washington, Meosha Adams; Great grandchildren: Omarah Jr, Hailey, Cali, Austin, Alani, Justin, Chevon, and Kay’vion; Nephews: Terry and Michael Bryant, God-children: Tonya Clark-Jones and Elder Howard Clark; an aunt Cardell; an uncle Mark Lee; special friends: Missionary Carolyn Eason, Ms. Dee and Chandra Calhoun; and a host of cousins and caring friends.
