Obituary for Kathy Munnerlyn Tuggerson
Kathy Munnerlyn Tuggerson was born on September 9, 1954 in Hawthorne, Florida to the late George Munnerlyn and Donnie Bell Williams Munnerlyn.
Kathy received her education in Hawthorne through the Alachua County Public School District. She dedicated many years to working with the School Board of Alachua County and eventually retired after more than two decades of service with the University of Florida Housing Division. Kathy found a place to worship her Lord and Savior at Mt. Zion AME Church in her home town.
Kathy departed this life on Sunday, April 14, 2024 after battling a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Rodney Munnerlyn and four siblings, Georgia Mae Munnerlyn, Mary Helen Munnerlyn, Francis Munnerlyn and Fred Munnerlyn.
Her life will continue in the hearts of her loved ones. Five children: Tara Donley, Tiffany Tuggerson, Tawanna James (Elijah), Elizabeth Terry and Legend Walker; one Sister: Angenette Minter (Hank); four brothers: Oliver Hutchinson, George Munnerlyn, Charles Munnerlyn (Carolyn), and Aaron Munnerlyn (Joanne); nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
