Leola Smith Hart
Leola (known as Sister) was born April 24th,1931, she was the fifth child of the late Lewis Smith Sr. and Emma Robinson Smith. She graduated from Alachua County Public Schools and attended Nursing School in Tampa Florida. She would eventually retire from the University of Florida after 30 plus years of service. She was a lifelong member of Greater Bell United Methodist Church, Brooker FL, where she served on the Communion Board. She was the Dallas Cowboys & Florida State Seminoles number one fan, and she wasn't going to let you forget it. At family gatherings she was the life of the party she loved to make you laugh.
She was preceded in death by six siblings Melwease, Lewis Jr., Mae Edith, Doris, Virginia, and Nellie. Husband Alfred C. Hart and Children Charles Blackshear Jr. and Zona Blackshear Mingo. Granddaughter Briana Smith Singleton.
She transitioned on Tuesday July 25, 2023, at 9:03 p.m. in Lehigh Acres FL. She leaves to cherish her memories children Eddie Smith of Yorktown VA, Lona Hart-Blount (Eddie) of Tallahassee FL, Gary C. Hart (Mary) of Lehigh Acres FL, Son-in-law Milton Mingo of Miami FL, Sister Mary Johnson (Lee) of Gainesville FL, Grandchildren Corey, Crystal,
Seania (Michael), Karen, Joseph, Justin, Jasmine, Gary Jr.; Great grandchildren Ciera, Cadence (Darien), Shane, Makiah, Evelyn, Jonathan, Leola, Michael Jr. Daijah, Sean, and Great-great grand Brooklyn. God daughter Yvonne Ross. A dedicated nephew Johnnie Ross Jr. A host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends Beria Norris Janie MIngo, Altamease Douglas, Wetona Johnson, and Willene Griffin.
