Lillie Mae Mitchell was born on November 20,1946 in Umatilla, Florida to David Sr. and Savannah Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Minnie Pettigrew and Patricia Butler; and three brothers: Benny, Ivory, and Herman Mitchell.
Lillie was educated at Southside Elementary School and Eustis Vocational High School. She was employed and retired from the United Southern Bank, and the Lake County School Board.
Lillie lived the majority of her life in Umatilla where she was a member of the Umatilla Church of God, which later became Life Changing Church of God where her Pastor was Rev. Andrew Haywood. Lillie relocated to Alachua, Florida in 2020 and became a member of the Living Word Church of Faith where the Pastors are Apostles Vernon D. and Mitzi Singleton.
Lillie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, crafts, shopping, and participating in senior group activities at the Cleather Hathcock, Sr. Community Center in Alachua. Most importantly, Lillie loved God with all of her heart, soul, and strength. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible, listening to and singing Christian music, and Praising God.
Lillie was a devoted wife to Charles J. Craft, Sr. until his passing. She is survived and will be missed dearly by three children from this union: Charles J. Craft, Jr. (Pamela), Andre Craft (Cartina), and Costena Craft; as well as five dearly loved grandchildren: Andre Craft, Jr., Charles Craft III, Ashanti Craft, Tristan Craft, and Aaliyah Craft.
Lillie was later united in holy matrimony on December 8,2020 and leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Ernest E. Howell; stepdaughter, Kimberly Dowdell; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Doris C. Mitchell, Ceanus H. Brazil (Isaiah), Reverend Geraldine H. Singleton, Mary H. Lee, Melvina H. Banks; life-long friend Emma Fisher; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and care-takers Michelle Hathcock and Oriska Singleton.
