Obituary for Marlene Howell Hayes
Marlene Howell-Hayes was called home and entered into eternal rest on January 24, 2022. She was born to Royal and Mae Etta Johnson on October 6, 1957 (She was raised by her Stepfather, Charles Bryant, Sr). She graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1975 and she married Lester Hayes, Sr. in 1978 and to this union they had 3 lovely children.
Marlene was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved her family very much and her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She had dedicated her life to the Lord and enjoyed going to church. She also spent her past time doing crossword puzzles and coloring and visiting with her family.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Step-Father, Sisters-Precious Marie Bryant and Etta Mae Howell and Brother-Allen Bryant.
Her memories will live in the hearts of: Her husband of 44 years Lester Hayes, Sr.; Three Children: Tamekia Hayes(Rodney); Karon Hayes; Lester Hayes, Jr.(Tara). 10 beautiful grandchildren; 7 wonderful great grandchildren. Two Brothers: Thomas Bryant(Tawanda); Charles Bryant(Tonya). Brother-in-Laws: Samuel Hayes(Teresa), Shelly Hayes(Rutha), Glen Hayes(Sylvia). Sisters-in-Laws: Evelena Simmons (Bobby); Julia Proctor(Sowell); Rose Bailey(Preston); Joyce Hayes and Noel Hayes. Her special nephew David Crafton, Her favorite Aunt Fannie Johnson, Her god daughters Kara Young and Shantelle Dexter and one very special Friend of 30 years Margaret Scott and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives.
