Obituary for Mary Ellen Phillips
Mary Ellen Phillips was born on August 21, 1941 to the late Robert Rogers and Mary Lou Rogers. She was educated in the Miami-Dade County Public School System. At an early age she joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, in Miami, FL.
She resided in Miami, Fl for most of her life. She moved to Hawthorne, FL to take care her youngest sister almost five years ago. Her youngest sister in turn, took care of her until God called her home on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Preceded in death by her sister, Gloria (Swanee) Eason and nephew, Ernest (Leonard) Norris.
Mary’s memory will be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her: Three loving sisters, Ira Neely (Bobby), Paula Cox, both of Miami, FL and Renee Rogers of Hawthorne, FL; nieces, Lawanda Ray (Edward) and Latoyia Neely, both of Hawthorne, FL, Latasha Blue (Ladarius Sr.) and Catina Eason, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Terreka Cox, Tabatha Neely and Beverly Dillard (Kenneth) all of Miami, FL; nephews, Bobby Neely, Jr., Terrell Cox, both of Miami, FL, Delvis Eason and Michael Davis, both of Hawthorne, FL; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
