Mary was a lifetime resident of Gainesville, Florida but was from Hawthorne, Florida. She graduated from Hawthorne High School and was also a graduate of Bethune Cookman University. She worked as a teacher / aide with the Alachua County School Board for many years. She was also employed with Tacachale Assisted Living. She also worked for Santa Fe University in Gainesville, Florida for quite some time. Mary was raised as a Christian to believe and trust in God. She was Born to the late (Harvey Hutchinson Sr.) and Hattie Lou Ross from Hawthorne, Florida. Longtime Companion, Nathaniel Foye. Daughters, Sylvia C. White, Wanda D. Pinkney, Sandra A. Thomas, Earlene Calhoun (Gary), Darlene Pinkney. Sons: Apostle Dr. Marcus L. Pinkney (Pastor Teresa M. Pinkney) (Orlando, Florida), Willie L. Pinkney Jr.
She had a host of brothers: The Late (Curtis Bessent Sr.), Donald Bessent, Willie Lock Jr., (Melissa), The late (David Angelo Lock Sr.), Bishop Harvey J. Hutchinson Jr., Johnny Hutchinson, Sam Hutchinson (Connie), Samuel Hutchinson (Sandra), Eugene Hutchinson (Vina), Donald Hutchinson (Teawanda), Chester Ross, Tommy Ross (Wife), Lee Ross (Wife).
She had a host of Sisters: Z. Laura Hayes, The Late (Martha Ann Scott), The late (Loretta B. Hines), Ellen Lock-Thomas, Rebecca Gloria Brown, Jacqueline Branton, Linda Stevenson (Vance), Mamie Tucker, Phyllis Ann Ross
