Obituary for Mother Alberta Singleton Walker
Mother Walker was born on October 10, 1931 in Jonesville, FL. She was the daughter of the late Alphonso Singleton and Rosa Buchanan. On August 1, 1949 , she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Elder Barney M. Walker, Sr. They were blessed to celebrate 56 years of marriage together.
Mother Walker attended school in Alachua County, graduating from Old Lincoln High School. She accepted Jesus Christ in her life and faithfully served many years in the Church of God By Faith as a member of Newnans Lake, Hopewell and Fairbanks. She served in various capacities including First Lady of Hopewell and Fairbanks, Mother's Board, Choir Member and Usher (National, District and Local Usher Board). As a devoted wife and mother, she affectionately nurtured and supported her family as a Homemaker.
Predeceased by: husband, Elder Barney Walker Sr.; sisters, Theola Hines and Alene Nattiel; brother, Alphonso Singleton Jr.; daughter-in-law, Betsy Walker.
