The Life of a Virtuous Woman
Mable Cudjo Mingo was born to the late Beatrice Cudjo McNeil and Lewis Cromarty on April 19, 1925, in Monteocha, Florida.
She gave her life to the Lord and was baptized at an early age. She attended Jerusalem School in the Monteocha Community.
She moved to Miami, Florida after she married the love of her life James W. Mingo on January 26, 1946. Where they raised 4 wonderful children. They opened their home to family and friends who wanted to relocate to the city of Miami. They were welcomed to stay until they were able to establish their own residence.
Mable worked various jobs including babysitting many children in the neighborhood, and head custodian at Scott Lake Elementary School for 30 years, from which she retired.
She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She had a deep love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was ready at any time to give Him praise. She was a woman of wisdom and a Mighty Prayer Warrior.
On March 31, 2025, she slipped away from this life and stepped over into eternal life where she’s now in the Presence of The King of Kings.
She was preceded in death by: Husband: James W. Mingo; One son: Nathaniel Mingo, Sr.; Two Daughters-in-law: Zona and Patricia Mingo; One Grandson: Nathaniel Mingo Jr.; Three sisters: Lotty Ross, Beria Norris, Dora Valentine; Two Brothers: James Cromarty and Robert Franklin.
Those who remain and will greatly miss her are: Three children: Beatrice (Fareede) Hassanali; Larry and Milton Mingo. Grandchildren: Tronette, Trinette, Crystal, Karen, Kimberly, Larry Jr., Basheera, Tariq. 14 great-grands,
one great-great-grand. One sister Helen C. Moten; one sister in-law
Elzada Cromarty, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
