Obituary for Norma Jean Jackson
Mrs. Norma Jean Jackson was born October 2,1948 to the late Ocie M. and Archie W. Campbell, Sr. At an early age she was baptized at Gigal Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She later joined the Second Morning Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a faithful and dedicated member before becoming ill. Norma attended Shell Elementary School and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1966.Norma’s favorite hobbies were singing, sewing, cooking and especially baking those delicious sweet potato pies. Norma worked at Shands Hospital in the Medical Records Department for 35 years. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson, loving parents,Ocie M.and Archie W. Campbell, Sr., grandparents Brother Archie W, Campbell, Jr. and sister Retha Mae
Campbell.
Norma leaves to cherish fond memories: Daughter, Barbara Randall; sons, Nathaniel Randall, Jr., Archie W. Randall; 7 grandchildren, Tashwanda Gordon, Heather, Taylor Gordon, Arkeyla Randall, Lakeisha Randall, Gerard Randall and Lowen Randall; 6 great grandchildren; 6 siblings, Daisy Days, Ethel Marshall, Ocie Campbell, Jesse Williams of Gainesville, Mary Council and Pherry Baker, William Pepper (Gail) of Hathorne; 5 God-children, Christel Green, Robin Young,
Ga’Mon Randall, Kia Hill and Shannon Ford; Godbrother, Archie Douglas; Godmother, Evangelist Margarit Reynolds; sister-in-law, Dr. Marie Herring (Lenton); dedicated friends, Althia Thompson, Elder Beatrice Sheppard, Girdia Williams, Belinda Williams, Selena Fountain and Sister Eva Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and dedicated church family.
Norma loved her family very, very much and always joined in on family functions.
