Mr. Henderson was born January 25, 1955, to Carnell and Jettie (McCone) Henderson
At an early age Oscar was baptized at Galilee Baptist Church where he attended Sunday School and Church.
He attended Shell Elementary School and was a graduate of Hawthorne High School class of 1973. In High School he played football and basketball.
He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and painting cars with his father. He also enjoyed roasting peanuts for family members and friends.
He spent several years in Taunton, MA working with his uncles as a Masonry Assistant.
In 1993, he returned to Hawthorne. He moved his church membership to Mt. Pedro Missionary Baptist Church where his father, Reverend Carnell Henderson was Pastor. He remained a member there under the leadership of Reverend Marvin McMahon.
Oscar was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Carnell C. Henderson, Sr., brothers Carnell C. Henderson, Jr. and Roger A. Henderson, Sr.
He is survived by his son Demetrice Campbell Sr (Cassandra), of Port St. Lucie, FL, mother, Jettie Henderson of Hawthorne; FL, brothers Pastor Stephen Henderson (Doris), San Diego, CA, Ralph Henderson (Joan) Brockton, MA. 4 grandchildren, Demetria Campbell and Alessandra Campbell, Detroit, MI. Demetrice Campbell, Jr and Jenna Rose Campbell, Lansing, MI. 3 great grandchildren, Jaleah, and twins Legend and Lorenzo. 3 Aunts, Carolyn McCone, Taunton, MA, Marzella McDonald and Emmabell Clayton, Jacksonville, FL. 1 uncle, Rev. Joseph Williams. A special niece Yvonne Albrecht Henderson. A special friend, Ocie Campbell of Hawthorne, FL. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
