Rev. Everett I. Brown, 63
Rev. Everett I. Brown passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at his home in Putnam Hall, FL. He was born August 30, 1955 to the late Mamie and Lander Brown. He attended Galilee Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and later became a member of Trinity United Missionary Baptist Church. He received his early education in Alachua County and was a 1973 graduate of Hawthorne High School. He furthered his education at Bethune Cookman University earning a bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. He also was an Army Veteran.
Rev. Brown was a happy person who was always smiling. He loved to sing and was often referred to as "The Singing Preacher". He was the former Pastor of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Starke, FL and Starke Family Worship Center, Starke, FL. He loved teaching and preaching God's Word.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife, Marlene Archer Brown; children, Malea Brown, Ella McGruder, Cherita Williams, Everett Brown Jr., Jennifer Sheilds, Nicole Brown, and Jaimer Brown; siblings, Mary Lee Lazare, Catherine Douglas, Vanessie Nichols, Julia Johnson, Bessie Hayes, Alfred Brown Sr.; mother-in-law, Mary L. Archer; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Trinity United Missionary Baptist Church, Hawthorne, FL, Dr. Clarence Woods is Pastor, Rev. Renette Slater is eulogist. Burial will be in Hawthorne Cemetery. Viewing on Friday at PINKNEY-SMITH FUNERAL HOME 21400 SE Hawthorne Rd, Hawthorne, FL 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at Trinity UMBC 9:15 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.. No viewing after eulogy.
