REV. JOSEPH T WILLIAMS was born on September 29, 1925 to the late Charlie and Mary McCoy Williams.
He was called home on February 5, 2026 after living 100 wonderful years. He was married to the late Lillie Mae Williams for 69 years who preceded him in death from this union two of his children Eleanor (Kit) Randell and Terrel L Williams preceded him in death. Rev Joseph Williams was the last of his parents 14 kids.
At the age of 18 years old he enlisted in the US Navy on September 21, 1943. Where he learned the deeper importance of precision, perseverance and resilience.
After returning from the War. He worked odd jobs until he started his job at Goodyear for 27 years.
Upon retiring he also served as City of Hawthorne Commissioner and the Vice Mayor 1996-1998. He became an Ordained Pastor and served for over 30
years.
He leaves to cherish his memory son: Al (Bonita),son-in-law: Gilbert (Eleanor); and daughter-in-law): Elaine (Terrel); a special daughter: Sheryle Williams and a grandson he raised as a son: Willie Jenkins, 12 grandkids, 18 great grand and 11 great-great grand and 1 great-great-great grand and a host of nieces and nephews.
