Obituary for Rufus "Tag" Donley
Mr Rufus "Tag" Donley a lifelong resident of Keystone Heights "Speedville Community " was born November 5,1945 to late Walter Sr. And Elizabeth Donley. He was a graduate of the class of 1965 from R.J.E High School. He then went on to serve in the United States Army and also was a soldier in the Vietnam war with a honorable discharge.Mr. Donley was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Speedville, Fl. and was faithful in the Speedville and surrounding communities where he was very well known.
Mr Donley played and love the game of baseball. There was nothing that he touched that he couldn't do: fishing, cooking, singing ,hunting, fixing things, this just to name of few! He was a true jack of all trades. Mr. Donley had a Heart of Gold! There was nothing he would not do for anyone.. Some of his favorite sayings: "I'm a God Sent Man!" "I'll fight, rather I'm right or wrong!"
Mr. Donley leaves to cherish fond memories, a devoted niece, Patsey L White (Jackie); sister Lois Harris, Speedville, FL; brothers, Lloyd (Dorothy) Donley, Speedville, FL, Ernest (Betty) Donley, Johnson FL, Roger (Nora) Donley, Hawthorne, FL; sister-in-law, Alvina Donley Speedville, FL; brother-in-law, Roosevelt Hutchinson, Hawthorne FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of loving friends .
Preceding Mr. Donley in death are his parents :Walter & Elizabeth Donley ; Brother David (Reoma ) Donley and Willie (Ida) Donley, Walter Tib Donley. Sister Parthenia (Herman) Flowers ,Rosa Speed , Julia McGollie, Mildred Hutchinson, Florence (Sewell) Proctor, Addie Lee (Willie B) Davis, Helen (Pervis) Thomas, Brother-Law Randolph Harris and host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins
