Stacey Jerome Williams, Sr was born June 26, 1967 in
Hawthorne, Florida to the late Annie Lois Gillins Williams
and Leo B. Williams. He comes from a large family of
siblings- Elvis Williams(Velma), Gail Williams, Larry B.
Williams Sr(April), Tammy R. Williams, Myron Williams,
William Reynolds(Yolanda), Delvin Williams, and Step
Sister Sharon Purdy.
He is preceded in death by both parents, 3 siblings- Leonard
Williams, Gail Williams, Reginald Williams, and one son,
Keyon Williams.
Mr. Williams grew up in Hawthorne, FL and attended
Hawthorne High School where he finished in 1986. He
later moved to Gainesville, FL where he would begin the
road to building his legacy as a man, Coach, mentor and
father and husband. After specializing in many different
fields of employment, he would later work at LifeSouth
Community Blood Center Headquarters in
Gainesville as a Facilities Specialist for the last 8 years until
his untimely passing. He was a member of the H.O.M.E.
Church in Hawthorne, FL where he served as a PMT as
a door Greeter. For 25 yrs he took pride in Coaching and
mentoring local youths through football. He spent many
weekends volunteering and promoting the Save a Life
Campaign through blood drives and worked the five
points of life marathon as a bag check greeter. No matter
where or what time of day, he would light your day up
with a smile and a kind word. He was a hard working, fun
loving, dedicated worker, friend and father.
On January 4, 2021 Mr. Stacey J. Williams, Sr was called
home to be with the lord leaving behind to cherish
his memories and continue his legacy: His loving and
dedicated wife, Latraile Williams, 5 children, Stacey J.
Williams, Jr. of Gainesville, FL, Darius D. Akins Williams of
Norcross, Ga, Shaun C. Williams of Gainesville, FL, Zayna
J. Akins Williams of Archer, FL, Desmond D. Williams
of Gainesville, FL, 4 Grandchildren, Kaden Williams,

of Gainesville, FL, his Godmothers, Cheryl Williams and
Aldonia Hawkins Both of Hawthorne, FL, his second
