Obituary for Wagner Linzel Shell Jr.
Wagner “Lin-J” Shell, Jr., 39, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2021. He was born in Gainesville, FL, on October 22, 1981, to Wagner Shell, Sr., and Rosalind (Johnson) Shell.
At any gathering of family and friends, and everywhere he went, he brought energy and laughter. He especially loved his son, Wagner III, who was the key to his heart. He taught Physical Education, coached football, girls weightlifting and girls flag football at Jean Ribault High School and was passionate about working with children and teens and encouraged them to reach their full potential. Lin-J worked in the after-school program at Woodland Acres Elementary for over 15 years. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., a personal trainer, and an All-Star athlete who enjoyed a professional football career that spanned over 16 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories, parents: Wagner and Rosalind Shell, Orlando, FL; son: Wagner Linzel Shell, III, Mississauga, Canada; brother: Christopher (Nicole) Shell; sister: Brittany Shell; nieces: Arianna and Aniya Shell (all of Orlando, FL); grandmother: Carolyn P. Johnson, Blitchton, FL, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and grieving friends.
A last glimpse will be held at Old St. Andrew’s, 317 A. Philip Randolph Blvd., Jacksonville, FL, 32202 on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:33 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at The Greater Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 14485 W.
