Walton was the fifth in line of seven children. He was born on the Island of Trinidad & Tobago. Walton then left Trinidad in 1968, and moved to Boston Massachusetts to create a better life for his family, and in 1969 he and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York. Walton moved to Port Charlotte Florida in 1984 in search of “palm trees and sunshine”, and eventually ended up in Hawthorne in 2001.
Walton’s career included: law enforcement (police officer), professional boxer and licensed air-conditioning and refrigeration servicing. Walton retired from Port Charlotte Gulf Course in 1995.
Walton was a member of Zion Hill SDA church in Hawthorne Florida, where he served as a deacon since 2001. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Lord, and his family and his Boston Celtics.
Walton married the late Gloria D. Walker in 1963 and the two were happily married for 50 years until her passing in September of 2013. He had 5 children, 10 grand-children and a host of great-grands. Walton passed in the early hours of Saturday November 28th 2020 at home. He will be greatly missed by his Family, friends and Church
