In Loving Memory of Brother Willie Preston White
Willie Preston White was born on July 29, 1946 to the late Treston Watts and Sylvia Jane White in Putnam County, Florida. He was the eldest of seven children raised by his Aunt/Mother Aline White in the Whitesville community.
Willie Preston attended public schools in Putnam County, Florida. At an early age, he began his career doing season work which allowed him to work in different locations in the United States. Working in the cities of New York and the different cities in the state of Florida were the locations most fondly remembered by the family.
Fishing, hunting, planting, and eating were some of his most favorite things. However the most important of those were eating. He was known as a prolific “food critic.
He loved his family and loved hanging out with them. They had a unique communication style. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. For many years during his illness, he lived in the North Florida Rehabilitation and Specialty Center in Gainesville, Florida. He was loved by all the staff and other residents who became his second family. Because of his affectionate nature, he was loving known as the “President of North Florida Rehabilitation and Specialty Center.
Willie P. departed this life on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the North Florida Rehabilitation and Specialty Center.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Treston Watts and Sylvia White, aunt/mother, Aline White; sister, Kim White, and brother, Levi White.
He leaves to mourn his passing
