A TIME TO BE BORN
Donald Winston Galloway was born December 5, 1948 in Gainesville, FL to the late Edward Kenneth Galloway, Sr. and Willie Mae Aldridge Galloway.
A TIME TO LOVE
Donald was preceded in death by his older brother, Edward “Kenny” Galloway. An unwavering bond that exemplified LOVE in it’s purest form.
During adulthood Donald created two beautiful daughters to carry on his legacy.
Lavoris Galloway, his oldest daughter giving him two cherished grands: Gwen and Octavious Wallace; and four great grands.
Donyal “Lover” Galloway, his namesake and youngest daughter, gave him three beautiful grands: Derriyle Bryant, Deloiye Bryant and D’Jhedyn Bryant who preceded him in death.
Donald’s “Uncoditional Love” for his daughters by all who knew him.
A TIME TO LEARN
Donald was a proud Terrior from Lincoln High School Graduating Class of 1967. Donald continued his education graduating from Miami Dade Community College with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. Upon receiving his Mortician License, Donald worked under the masterful direction of the late Arnold D. Dorsey, Sr. whom Don looked to as a second father.
A TIME TO SERVE
Donald was a proud Veteran Drafted in 1969 serving in the United States Army. Discharging under Honorable Conditions regarding Character of Service. Receiving the following medals, badges and commendations, citations and campaign ribbons: National Defense Service Medal; Marksman (Rifle M-16); Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14); 3rd Class Gunner (MG-M-60) specializing in Light Weapons Infantry. Donald served the community for many years as a Mortician working at the 2nd Street Community Staple Dorsey Funeral Home.
Donald was born and raised in the Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church. Faithfully serving and loving the Lord in all ways until he was called home.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, our beloved Father gently and peacefully surrendered to the will of God.
A TIME TO MOURN
Precious memories will live forever in the hearts of his daughters, Donyal and Lavoris, both of Gainesville, FL; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; special cousins, Johnny Williams (Rita), Viane Guinyard, all of Gainesville, FL, Shonda Mitchell, Kimberly, both of Ocala, FL; special nephews and nieces, Edward “Lil Kenny” Galloway Jr, Kendra Galloway, Latonya Galloway, all of Gainesville, FL, Kanessa Galloway, Dallas, TX, Tamra Galloway, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Edwina Moore (Frank).
