Obituary for Harriet Lucille Gainey
Harriet Lucille Gainey, a lifelong resident of Keystone Heights “Speedville Community” Florida, was born May 4, 1958 to Lois Harris and the late Joe Middleton.

Preceding her in death: Randolph Harris (Step-Father), LaTonya Rushing (Sister) and Reggie Ellis (Brother).

Harriet was a 1976 graduate of Bradford High School in Starke, Florida, then served in the United States National Guard. She was employed at Sonny’s Restaurant in Starke for over 20 years.

Harriet leaves to cherish her memories;

Her loving mother Lois Harris; A devoted husband Rickey Gainey; six wonderful children, Kenneth (KC) Hampton Jr., Nakia Bass, Rickey Gainey, Jr., Sherry Covington, Justice Gainey, Shania Gainey and a special daughter, LaDavia McMillian.

Sisters: Patsey White (Jackie) of Speedville, Janice Daniels (Robert), Gainesville and Joanna MonConico, Orlando. Brothers: Larry Ford and Joey Middleton, Speedville. Rickey Ellis and Michael Middleton, Gainesville. Curtis Harris and Randolph Harris Jr., Orlando. In-Laws: Tom & Mary Gainey of Starke, FL. Sister in Laws: Patricia Hamilton (Thomas), Evette Gainey, and Wanda Middleton all of Starke FL and Terri Himes, Gainesville.

Grandchildren: Cayson Hampton & Rikya Gainey. God Children: Qiana Jackson, Charles Mathews Jr, Brandon Bingham, II, Jackson Williams and Ta’Kera Flowers.

Nieces: Sherree Wooden (Isaiah), Andrea Williams (Andrew), Ashley Bass, Lashonda Mason (Alonzo), Ashley Middleton, JaBria Crumity, Shameka Ellis, Tiyana Ellis and Tonika Bright-Boulware (Kurston). Nephews: Jarvis Johnson, Damien Middleton (Kenyatta), Michael Middleton Jr, Brandon Middleton, Bacari Daniels, Terence Holmes, Elijah Thomas, Rickey Ellis Jr., and Rashard Ellis.

A host of aunts, uncles, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and sorrowing friends.

A special group of friends: Lisa McMillian, Debbie Smith, Glenda Johnson Ruise, Sherry Williams and a special cousin, Joyce Aldridge.

Celebration Of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Bradford County High School Football Stadium, Starke, FL, Elder Walter Lewis is Officiating. Burial will be in Speedville Community Cemetery. Viewing on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Pinkney-Smith Funeral Home, 21400 SE Hawthorne Road, Hawthorne, FL 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at the Stadium 10:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. No viewing after eulogy.
