Leroy Brown, Jr., age 88 of Gainesville, FL, Veteran of the Korean War - US Army, Deacon and member of The New Beginnings Church of God By Faith, transitioned from this earth on March 13, 2021. He's preceded in death by his wife, Janette Brown, daughter, Faye Frazier and several siblings. He leaves to cherish his memories: children, Leroy Brown III, Sheila Brown, Troy Jordan, Eric Woods Sr., Michael Brown, Larry Brown, Kevin Brown, Carolyn Stokes, and Janice Brown; a sister, Alberta Brown; a host of grands, great grands, other relatives and friends.
Celebration Of Life Service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Newnans Lake Church Of God By Faith Cemetery, 5845 NE 39th Boulevard, Gainesville, FL. Viewing on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Pinkney-Smith Funeral Home, 727 NW 2nd Street, Gainesville, FL, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday at the grave site 2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The cortege will form 2:15 p.m. at the home of Morris and Vivian Ellis of Gainesville.
