In Memory of Sister Normagene Davis

Normagene Davis was born to the late William Alfred Davis and Helen Swain Davis on May 18, 1947. She attended public schools in Putnam County and graduated from the Central Academy High School in Palatka, Florida.

She was baptized at an early age at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and was later transitioned as a member of the Trinity United Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her illness. As a member of Mt. Bethel, she was a soloist in the Senior choir and also worked with the Mt. Bethel youth choir.

For more than six years, she worked at the University of Florida in custodian services.

Normagene was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was also a great caretaker for her family and a loyal supporter in the community. If you visited Normagene, you knew that she loved her plants and flowers and was an avid fisherman.

She departed this life on Friday, July 8, 2022 at her home in Johnson Crossroads.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Alfred and Helen Davis; three sons, Michael Asbell, Joseph Asbell, and Christopher Davis; sister, Roselyn Janet Davis-Byrd; brothers, William Alfred Davis, Jr., Ulyssee Davis, Charles Leon Davis, and Lawrence Edward Davis, Sr.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

A loving and devoted companion of 52 years, Charlie Williams, Jr.
